What

How to connect a peristaltic pump this model to Arduino using a driver DRV8825 Stepper Motor Driver Carriers, High Current

A peristaltic pump is a stepper motor with a mechanism to press the silicone tube and suck liquid in 2 directions.


Aim

The aim is to connect the pump and and the Arsenic V4 prototipe so we can play with an alternative water dosification that depends on the amount of pollution in water to visualize and simulate with colorant the contamination in real water.

First we will connect the pump to arduino UNO and the driver.

  • Wires
  • Capacitor 100 microFaraday

How

Connect the driver DRV8825 Stepper Motor Driver Carriers to arduino trhough a bread board, use the Minimun wiring schema

Setting the Current Limit on Pololu Stepper Motor Driver Carriers [1] Power the motor with 12V and max 1 A (set the current before)

Problems

Don't have technical specification of the Dosing Peristaltic Pump With Stepper Motor, but a similar one I used before, was working smoothly at 12V and 0,5A so this one should work like that. The only specifications are :
